The industrial-duty deck has some pitting on top, but is strong and solid, blade motors work well. The 3 cylinder air-cooled Lister-perter diesel starts and runs well with no excessive smoke. The starter solenoid needs to be replaced. The mercury switches that automatically level machine could use some adjustments.
The brake pedal is missing. The hydro static drive has a lot of slop in pedal, but it does power both front and rear wheels without excessive noise.
It did a great job for me on some pretty rough and steep hillsides. Although this machine can start, run, and mow as-is, it should be considered very worn, rough, in need of a lot refurbishment.
It needs a new battery. The electrical system needs some wiring work over motor see pictures. The parking brake handle is frozen.
There are probably lots of other small things that need work. I have used it yearly since then to maintain a small lot, and no longer need this machine. This is all I can remember off-hand. Overall this machine is old and has seen a lot of wear, but these machines are rare good one to refurbish, or just use it till conks out.
