The headlights work but lens is missing. Selling our family John Deere 314 garden tractor. Does not knock or smoke. This is a heavy garden tractor so be ready to haul it.
Always kept in the barn, dry storage. You can't touch a comparable new machine for under 8,000. I agree, its not a 316, 317, or 318, but having the Kohl you can still buy everything for was always big sell me, and it did those other tractors could. Its otherwise shaft drive.
Missing one side cover and the front headlight lens. Tons of torque and a cast iron block. Belt is OK, I do not know when the were replaced last.
Some new paint, but mostly original. Has towed logs, wagons, telephone poles, etc with ease. New automotive battery this fall, still under warranty from auto zone. A brand new genuine one is 41 or you can get aftermarket used cheaper.
Runs and mows great. Points and plug are also near new. Its for sale locally on grisliest so the offer can end at any time if sold. I can help load.
Full hydro static transmission with front and rear accessory hydraulic ports, 48 mowing deck which has all new bearings a year ago, 14 hp Kohl not the hard to find obsolete Oman motor. The original seat isn't horrible but cover looks a lot better. I may not have the carburetor dialed in perfectly, has a slight miss at certain speeds, but it still runs great.
Blades are sharp, deck is in great shape. Coil is a few years old. Lots of recent paint. This is 14 real horse power, not whatever they rate engines at now.
With a rebuilt carburetor last fall and full rebuild I do not recall the new bore size three years ago. New seat cover.
